The association "Nagel und Faden" wants to found a workshop in Geretsried.

For the first start you need 7500 euros.

They are supposed to come together through a crowdfunding campaign.

Geretsried - The association is founded, the rooms on Bunsenweg are ready: Now, “Nagel und Faden e.

V. “for financial support for his first start in the direction of the hands-on workshop.

The team has started a crowdfunding campaign via the Raiffeisenbank Isar-Loisachtal.

Previously, the club had to win 75 supporters or fans for the platform. "We had them together within a day and six hours," reports chairwoman Dr. Gabriele Rogge is pleased. “Nail and thread” is very popular, but there is still a hurdle to registering for something online. Therefore, she did not expect that it would go so quickly. "That's really great."

The association needs 7500 euros as initial start-up aid, this sum is the aim of donation by the end of July. If the crowdfunding does not raise enough, the donors get their money back. “If we don't achieve the goal, we won't get anything,” explains Rogge. However, a higher donation is possible. The Raiffeisenbank Isar-Loisach adds something for every donation, as long as there is still something in its designated pot. The amount per donor is doubled between 5 and 20 euros, with higher donations the bank adds a maximum of 20 euros. "So small amounts are also important," says the club's chairwoman.

“Nagel und Faden” has big plans for its rented hall. A public wood, textile, paper and ceramic workshop and a repair café are to be built on a total area of around 250 square meters. Initially, the board wanted to implement everything perfectly before the hands-on workshop was opened. But it makes more sense to grow slowly, says Rogge. “If everything is to be expanded as we imagine it will, we need tens of thousands of euros.” Therefore, many small puzzle pieces would belong to the project. The association is in talks with various foundations, a donation flea market is planned and there may be another crowdfunding campaign in autumn.

The workshop called “Nagel und Faden” should be open to everyone. Anyone can come to use it. Behind this are the thoughts of sharing, the space at the workbench, the tools and the knowledge, and sustainability. Do it yourself instead of consuming, repairing instead of throwing it away.

With the 7,500 euro start-up aid, the team wants to purchase some furniture and individual devices for the textile and wood workshop.

A lot of machines and tools have already been made available to the association, but something is still missing to be able to work with them.

For the time being, individual events are being planned on Bunsenweg, for example as part of the holiday pass.

For everything else, the association needs a change in the use of the hall for social purposes.

In addition, the financing plan is currently being worked on.

Rogge: “There is a lot going on behind the scenes at all levels.” Sw
