From the jet-set to the collaboration with Supreme, the crazy trajectory of Emilio Pucci

Nicknamed the “prince of prints”, the Florentine designer, who died in 1992, sees his heritage revisited by Supreme.


He was known as the couturier of the jet set, dressing Mireille Darc, Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren and the

socialites

of Capri (where he opened a store in 1950).

Born in Florence to a wealthy local family, with the title of Marquis, he was, before devoting himself to fashion, an outstanding skier who even represented Italy at the Olympic Winter Games in 1932. It was moreover by the sportswear which he begins to design, designing models for his friends.

A trajectory that is not unlike that of another Italian known for his use of color and patterns, Ottavio Missoni ...
