Tirschenreuth - Once a Corona * hotspot, now a showcase city: Tirschenreuth has made it and, according to the Robert Koch Institute *, had a seven-day incidence * of 0.0 on Thursday (as of June 10, 3.11).
The same applies to Schwerin in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Tirschenreuth and Schwerin are the only districts in Germany that are "Corona * -free".

Already in April it became clear that the former Corona hotspot is on the right track.
At that time, District Administrator Roland Grillmeier (CSU *) noticed as soon as he switched on the PC that times had changed.
He reported on many emails from citizens thanking him for the good pandemic management.
“I received 100 friend requests on Facebook within a week,” he said.

But the mood in his Tirschenreuth district was not always so good.
“It wasn't long ago that I received a lot of criticism for the high incidence values,” he said in April.
That was in February, when Tirschenreuth had the highest seven-day incidence in Germany with a value of 380.
So now a value of 0.0.
Tirschentreuth is the only gray spot in Bavaria on the RKI's dashboard.
But also in the neighboring districts - as in the whole of Free State - the incidences are now significantly lower than before.

The incidence remains low throughout Bavaria. The seven-day incidence is currently 21.9. This means that it has fallen slightly compared to the previous day: (22.0).
