There was a long tug-of-war around the multi-generation house in Kranzberg.

Now the council took a look at the construction site.

Kranzberg

- built climate protection and a building project that is something “warm for the heart”: This is how architect Johannes Dantele described the multi-generation house in Kranzberg when the local council came to an “interim inspection” on Tuesday.

The most important message: They are optimistic that the second quarter of 2022 will be the completion date.

At the beginning of the tour, Dantele emphasized that it was “quite well on schedule”.

That is nice.

It is even nicer that the timber manufacturer gets his goods.

According to Dantele, it is difficult to assess whether the delivery of materials will also work in these difficult times when it comes to interior work.

Therefore: "We drive on sight."

The four buildings of the ensemble in different construction phases

The total of four buildings that make up the ensemble are in different phases of construction: the masonry communal house is still missing the roof structure and roof, the elongated functional building is already covered, the floor slab for the future house 1 has been poured, and house 2 is the timber constructor already arrived on the first floor.

Dantele explained that the ground floor will be built using a pressed plywood construction, the outer walls on the upper floors will be constructed as a frame construction made of wood.

The roof structure and windows are to follow soon, the balconies are to be hung in front of them, then the interior work will start in House 2, while the timber construction company is turning to the construction of House 1.

The local council is occupied with the tea kitchen

The municipal councils were impressed by the construction progress and the construction method, but also by the size of the approximately 60 and 100 square meter apartments, but above all that one had a view of the greenery and trees from the terraces.

“Gem” and “a dream” were comments on this living situation.

In the subsequent municipal council meeting on the Pantaleonsberg, it was then about the tea kitchen in the community house and about the next contract awards.

After lengthy discussions it was decided to equip the kitchenette with a (space-saving) sliding door, to orientate oneself to the planning in the storage room and thus not to break out a window afterwards, since the lighting is guaranteed by a motion detector.

An industrial dishwasher is purchased.

Orders are awarded unanimously

The contract for the tile work in the multigenerational house was awarded for 94,400 euros (estimated at 80,000 euros), the work on the flooring was contracted for just under 65,000 euros (102,000 euros were set here), and the metal construction work was 10,500 euros costs (they had calculated at 8,000 euros), the order for carpentry work was placed for 5380 euros (estimated were 4000 euros).

All contracts were awarded unanimously.
