Allershausen's Johanniter boss explains why the Corona rapid test centers in the Freising district continue to run.

Allershausen

- The seven-day incidence is falling continuously across Germany and Bavaria, and the Freising district is no exception.

Therefore, comprehensive easing came into force in the Free State at the beginning of the week, among other things, the test obligation has fallen in the catering trade as well as in shopping.

At the same time, the vaccination campaign is progressing.

What does this mean for the future of the test centers in the district?

Around 100 people come to the test every day

"Interestingly, the number of people who want to be tested has not decreased", reports Heinrich Märkl from Johanniter Unfallhilfe, which runs the Allershausen test center.

Every day - tests are carried out on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays - an average of 100 people would still come to the Ampertalhalle for a smear test.

"That means that the demand from the population is still very high."

Essentially, this is due to two factors, speculates the local chief of the Johanniter.

“People want to go away at the weekend - for example to the mountains or to Austria.

To make sure that they are not rejected somewhere, take a test confirmation with you, ”explains Märkl.

"Having is better than needing."

The offer remains as long as the citizens accept it

What is more: Although the vaccination campaign is progressing - more than a third of the district citizens have already received the first vaccination, almost a fifth also the second - so "there are simply still a lot of people who are not vaccinated". But because the desire to meet friends or go out to eat is great, many played it safe with a quick test. “These people do everything right,” emphasizes Märkl. Because it is still about not endangering other people.

The low incidence is no reason for the Johanniter boss in Allershausen to view regular tests as obsolete. “For example, when I go to see my parents, I want to know for myself individually whether I can do it with a clear conscience. The good incidence in the district does not help me, but if I am one of the few who are positive. ”It still makes sense to exercise caution and caution. "Because this is the only way we can maintain the beautiful situation that we have now." That is why the Johanniter team in Allershausen and all other test centers that have been commissioned by the District Office will continue to offer their services - and that "for so long." the citizens accept it and the district administrator wishes it ”, says Heinrich Märkl in conclusion.
