Today, civil defense personnel extinguished two fires that broke out in fruitful and forest trees in the western countryside of Homs.
The Director of Civil Defense in Homs, Brigadier General Ghiath Aqel, said that the branch operations room received a report about a fire in eucalyptus trees on the side of the Homs-Tartous international road from the Junoon village junction to the Khirbet al-Hamam junction in the western countryside of Homs. As a result of the strong winds, they were able to extinguish it and carry out cooling operations, and the burned area reached 30 dunums.
Aqel indicated that the members of the branch also put out a fire that engulfed olive trees and kenya near Jisr Shin in the western Homs countryside.
