Republican strategist Al Cárdenas highlights that it is the first time that a black and a Hispanic will compete to represent the state of Florida in the US Senate.Cardenas believes that the contest will be very close because both are very capable of that position, and predicts that they will be able to motivate their minorities to go to the polls.
It is a key choice in determining which party will control the Senate next year.
