Tripoli-Sana

The Libyan National Army renewed its demand for the withdrawal of mercenaries from Libyan lands, stressing that the illegal presence of the Turkish regime forces on Libyan lands is an occupation in every sense of the word.

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan National Army, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, indicated in an interview with “Sputnik” today that the presence of foreign mercenaries on Libyan soil so far is “evidence that there is no real will on the part of the international community to expel them,” stressing that the presence of the Turkish regime forces on Libyan territory It is, in fact, an “occupation in every sense of the word”.

Al-Mismari indicated that the armed militias in Libya “were used to confiscating political decisions, confiscating money and dominating state institutions.”

It is noteworthy that many media reports documented the transfer of thousands of terrorist mercenaries from northern Syria to Libya by the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, accompanied by Turkish soldiers, in an attempt to revive the dreams of the defunct Ottoman Empire and to get rid of its economic and financial crises that haunt it inside Turkey.

It is noteworthy that the new Libyan National Unity Government and the new President of the Presidential Council officially took over power in mid-March to start running the country's affairs and holding legislative and presidential elections at the end of this year according to the plan sponsored by the United Nations and reached by the Libyan Dialogue Forum.
