Rémy Daillet and his family were arrested at the end of May for illegal stay. The Frenchman, who continues on a hunger strike, can now either be deported to France by the Malaysian authorities for illegal stay in their country, or extradited if the authorities retain the international arrest warrant. In a video posted online after the kidnapping of a little girl, little Mia, Rémy Daillet had tried to defend himself. Without mentioning Mia by name, he refuted the term kidnapping.
