Ebersberg - The cultural state of emergency has now lasted for more than a year.
The Altes kino Ebersberg association used the time to create a third, digital pillar alongside its two stages.
There are a few corners that are still being tinkered with, but the new platform has been online since June and offers the public a media library with concerts, cabaret programs and films.
Livestream events are also offered.
"Our third, virtual house should expand our offer permanently and beyond Corona," says managing director Markus Bachmeier.
The team's plan: through interviews, film discussions, small portraits and by involving the audience via the platform's chat function, they want to provide viewers with an alternative with added value to services such as YouTube or Netflix.

"We want to offer something very special with a personal touch," explains Violetta Ditterich, who as the presenter is the face of the alteskino.tv platform.
“We thought of additional broadcast formats for the live streams early on,” continues Markus Bachmeier.
"We were surprised ourselves, but you get a completely different approach to an artist if you get to know him beforehand, for example in a 15-minute portrait."
So far, the content of the media library has all been produced in-house, locally and regionally.
"It's also just nice to see that the people on site are keen on it and make something available," explains Violetta Ditterich: It is advisable to have a pianist who came from Thuringia play on the organ of the Ebersberg Church for the artist portrait not been a problem at all.

The offer of the media library should continue to grow in the future.
For example, the first season of the self-produced series “Die Heizer” has already been filmed with and by cabaret writer Alexander Liegl.
For the future, Bachmeier also envisions collaborations with other organizers: “If the audience takes part, you can expand and expand it.
Then maybe it would also be possible to stream something from Passau across the district, for example. ”Other regional categories are also to be further developed: With“ Hä ?? ”, for example, a format“ by children for children ”is created.
The motto of the Ebersberg cultural organizers is very clear: class before mass.
In order to continue to guarantee this, most of the content on alteskino.tv is chargeable.
But: “Everyone only does what they can,” assures Violetta Ditterich.
