Today and yesterday, the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia organized 63 catering controls in various parts of the province.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Samer Al-Sousi, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the seizures included a violation of collecting electronic cards and illegally trading in ration bread. The arrests also included a violation of soaking the slaughtered and cleaned chicken with fresh water, transporting milk in an open and unrefrigerated car, giving irregular purchase invoices (two distribution cars), selling at an increased price (bread and milk), breaching the conditions for return and exchange (clothing), not declaring wages for service allowances, not possessing a purchase invoice, and not Announcement of prices and 16 food and non-food samples were withdrawn.
Eight violators were brought to the duly competent judiciary and the necessary legal measures were taken in accordance with Legislative Decree No. 8 against the violators.
