Beirut-Sana

Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem affirmed that Syria today is reaping the result of its resistance with the success of the presidential elections and the victory of Dr. Bashar al-Assad in it and with the great popular support for him.

In his speech during his meeting today with a delegation of Arab parties and personalities, Qassem indicated that Syria is recovering from the terrorist war that was imposed on it, pointing to the great and important role of Syria in liberating southern Lebanon, stressing the unity and strength of the resistance axis.

Qassem indicated that the resistance is the choice of this stage throughout the nation, explaining that this choice aims at two basic issues, the first is the liberation and protection of the land, and the second is the liberation of man and his convictions, considering that the liberation of Palestine is the priority.

Sheikh Qassem pointed out that one of the results of the resistance is that “Lebanon has become strong and is no longer a site for settlement and can no longer be used as a means of putting pressure on the environment and the existing reality,” pointing out that one of its results is also the awakening of the Arab and Islamic street after the liberation of the south in 2000.

Qassem reiterated support for the resistance of the Palestinian people against the Israeli aggressions, indicating that after the "Sword of Jerusalem" operation, the Israeli enemy became bound and no longer decided at its whim the timing of the aggression against Gaza and the Palestinian people.
