Nicaraguans in Florida react to arrests of opponents in their country
There is concern in Nicaragua about the arrest of several opponents of the government of Daniel Ortega. The National Police reported this Wednesday that they arrested José Bernard Pallais, leader of the National Coalition. In addition, he issued an arrest warrant against Mario Arana from Alianza Ciudadana. Pallais is the seventh opponent to be arrested in less than a week. Both leaders are singled out for allegedly undermining the country's sovereignty. Ana María Mejía spoke in Florida with some people from the Nicaraguan community, who are closely watching what is happening in their country.
