The head of the Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, announced that Russia has enough carrier rockets to become the world leader in the number of space launches.
"The space rockets that we manufacture are of great quality and are enough for us to take the first place in terms of the number of launches," Rogozin said in a statement today, noting at the same time that his country sometimes lacks satellite components.
Earlier, Rogozin had indicated in a speech to the State Duma that Russia could not adequately launch satellites due to the lack of microchips whose supply to Russia is prohibited due to Western sanctions on Moscow.
