A baby, seriously injured in a road accident which caused the death of another child and caused several other serious injuries on Wednesday in Préchacq-Josbaig, near Oloron-Sainte-Marie (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), died in the night at the Pau hospital, reports the Pau public prosecutor's office on Thursday.

Wednesday according to firefighters, around 5.30 p.m., two cars collided head-on on a two-way departmental road in southern Béarn.
A seven-year-old child died on the spot.
He was in the same car as the 15-month-old baby, who has since died, and his eight-month-pregnant mother in intensive care.
The occupants of the second car, a man and a woman aged 67 and 68, also seriously injured, were hospitalized in Bayonne and Tarbes.
