German Weather Service has been
reporting almost uninterrupted warnings for large parts of the Free State for several days.
Most recently, a thunderstorm front had moved over Munich, but the storms caused turbulence almost everywhere in Bavaria.
Landshut was also badly hit.
On Thursday evening (June 10), the Kelheim district was particularly hard hit.

Overcrowded cellars, streets and fields shaped the picture after the storm in the district.
An end to the turbulent weather in Bavaria is currently not in sight.

reports, the thunderstorm weather will remain throughout the Free State until the weekend.
With temperatures averaging 24 degrees, severe thunderstorms can form anywhere and at any time, which can cause major damage.

, up to 50 liters per square meter were achieved in the Kelheim district.
The emergency services were therefore intensively deployed.
The focus was particularly on protecting cellars or stables that threatened to flood.
Such amounts of rain are unusual, but could happen again and again if the weather comes from a corresponding direction, Reichmann continues.
