Common people will never participate in the Vendée Globe.
Most browsers don't either.
You have to be a superman, and more and more often an extra woman, to dare to face the worst seas and the worst winds in the world, alone at the helm, nonstop and without assistance.
Maxime Sorel did it, posting his adventures online day after day.
We find some passages in an astonishing leather logbook imagined by the Franco-Swiss watch brand Reservoir for the ten Tiefenmesser Bronze Reservoirs that have toured the world well sheltered inside a waterproof box in its hold.

These 43 mm diameter pieces, with a white and blue dial, carry a mechanical movement with automatic winding.
We find here the trademark of Reservoir, between retrograde minute, jumping hour and power reserve, in a bronze case which will acquire a patina over time.
Maxime Sorel being the national sponsor of the association Vaincre la Mucoviscidose (VLM), part of the sale of each watch will be donated to the association to support this cause.
The skipper has also offered at auction the one he wore during his maritime epic for the benefit of the association.
