After the arrest of a nun reported for sexual abuse in San Miguel, the
Bishopric of
San Isidro issued a statement explaining the situation in the religious community Hermanas Trinitarias, where she lived.

“In October of last year, a minor was learned who denounced in court an alleged abuse by a Religious who lived and worked in the Home 'Community of Trinitarian Sisters', (belonging to the Congregation of the Trinitarian Sisters), based in Boulogne ”, explains the statement released by the Bishopric and adds that“ at that very moment the authorities of the Congregation were asked to initiate the
corresponding
canonical investigation
”.
In the institution they added that "upon perceiving a delay in the beginning of the action by the aforementioned Congregation, the Bishopric decided ex officio to begin the process."
In addition, they indicated that “in
April of this year, a complaint was filed in court by another minor
, to which the corresponding canonical process also began.
Likewise, the Congregation was exhorted to separate from the Home those who were denounced while the investigation lasts ”.
“Taking cognizance of the arrest of one of the denounced sisters, the Bishopric affirms the continuity of the canonical process and places itself at the disposal of the Justice, as well as offering its own agencies for the Protection of Minors to contain and accompany those who are in a serious situation of vulnerability ”, they closed in the letter.

According to what the judicial file indicates, the 64-year-old detainee is denounced for "simple sexual abuse aggravated by having been committed by religious worship and by being a person in charge of the custody of minors, taking advantage of their relationship of authority and that the victim has not been able to freely consent to such action, ”judicial sources specified.

with three headquarters
in the country.

The San Isidro DDI arrested her this Wednesday by order of the prosecutor Marcelo Fuenzalida, of the UFI Specialized in crimes related to human trafficking.
The victim was in custody at that institution located in San Isidro under a
shelter measure
ordered by Family Court No. 1 of Tigre.
According to the victim, the attacks "occurred
in the kitchen and warehouse
of the Home of the Trinitarian Sisters of Boulogne", located at Carlos Tejedor 348, and were repeated.
