The policeman, on duty, arrived at a friend's house, in Berazategui, when he was approached by at least four thieves in a Volkswagen Gol Trend.
There a shootout broke out that left two assailants dead.
One of them was run over by his accomplices with another car on the run.
It all happened around 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday
at the corner of 140th and 26th streets
.
The sequence was recorded by security cameras.
An assistant officer in the Audiovisual Services Division of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA), 25 years old, had arrived there, accompanied by two people in a black Volkswagen Bora, to train in a friend's mini gym.

The policeman
resisted the assault and a shootout broke out
with the thieves: one of them, identified as Diego Armando Gálvez (23), was left lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head.
His accomplices, aboard another car, fled and ran
over him
.
Meanwhile, around the corner, some 40 meters away, Facundo Ezequiel Arias (23) was found, lying on the asphalt, who died on the spot.
He was shot in the neck, another in the thigh and a third in the finger.
According to sources of the investigation consulted by
Clarín
, Arias
had not returned from a temporary departure
since he was serving a sentence for "
aggravated robbery
."
For his part, the officer was
unharmed
in the confrontation.
Prosecutor Daniel Ichazo, in charge of the decentralized Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 1 of Berazategui, intervenes in the case, who ordered the seizure of the policeman's regulation weapon to carry out the ballistic comparison and
did not adopt any restrictive measure against him when considering that he acted in legitimate defense.
