The German Weather Service (DWD) issued several severe weather warnings * - including for the state capital Munich.
The DWD also warned of severe storms in the southeast of the Free State.

Sunday in particular is mostly sunny and invites you to swim and barbecue in many places.
The dry weather also favors the pollen count, said a spokesman for the German Weather Service (DWD) in Munich.
Summer weather in Bavaria: pollen pollution is increasing
Anyone who suffers from hay fever can clearly feel it at the weekend.
In the coming days, the grass pollen is expected to be exposed to a high level of pollution, said the DWD spokesman.
According to the State Office for Public Health, rye pollen is already flying sporadically - and that will continue to increase in the next few weeks, said a spokesman.
The start of the weekend is already sunny: According to the forecast by the German Weather Service, Friday begins with lots of sunshine.
In the second half of the day, however, cumulus clouds appear.
In the Bavarian Forest and south of the Danube there can be individual showers and thunderstorms.
The temperatures are between 22 and 28 degrees.

In the afternoon, however, it could occasionally rain on the eastern low mountain ranges and the Alps.
Sunday, on the other hand, will be mostly sunny.
The DWD spokesman said there was only a minimal risk of showering at the edge of the Alps.
