Another accident occurred on the A95 - probably due to an inappropriate speed during aquaplaning.
The car of a 21-year-old, a Mercedes C350 CDI, was completely destroyed.
Icking - The series of accidents on the A95 due to aquaplaning continues.
On Thursday evening, a 21-year-old from the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district was hit.
According to the traffic police (VPI) Weilheim, the young man was driving a Mercedes C350 CDI in the direction of Garmisch at around 8.30 p.m.
About two kilometers before the Höhenrain West fueling and rest area, the vehicle skidded under the prevailing conditions at the time - rain and wet road surface - probably due to improper speed and initially collided with the right crash barrier.
From there the car was catapulted back onto the lane and hit the stone border of the median.
The Mercedes finally came to a halt in the left lane.
The slightly injured 27-year-old passenger from Ingolstadt was able to get out of the car on her own.
The 21-year-old was slightly trapped.
"Since he was suspected of having had a spinal injury, the fire fighters used the roof to cut off the car in order to free the driver according to the circumstances," says the VPI report.
The ambulance took the two of them to hospital for inpatient treatment
A towing company had to haul away the completely destroyed vehicle - the amount of damage is around 15,000 euros.
Property damage to the amount of around 2,000 euros occurred on the right guard rail and on the stone border of the central reservation.
The Garmisch-Partenkirchen lane was completely closed for accident recording, rescue and cleaning work for one and a half hours.
In addition to the VPI patrol, numerous fire brigades from Hohenschäftlarn, Neufahrn, Schäftlarn-Ebenhausen, Wangen and Berg as well as the responsible district fire inspector and rescue services from Wolfratshausen and Starnberg were on site.
