The summit of G7 leaders opened today (Friday) after two years in which the leaders did not meet together.
The countries, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States, are expected to pledge one billion vaccines against Corona to poor countries, saying cooperation would be the best way to recover from the global crisis.
The fight against the climate crisis is also on the agenda of the leaders.
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, is hosting the leaders in the southeastern coastal town of Karbis Bay.
Before the talks began, they were photographed for a joint photo.
"This is a huge opportunity to advance the world's recovery from the epidemic," Johnson said in his opening remarks, as the leaders sat at a distance from each other and without masks, around a round table.
"Reconstruction will be greener, fairer and more egalitarian," he added, promising to emphasize gender equality.

US President Joe Biden set the tone for the event, leaving behind the differing attitude of his predecessor in office, Donald Trump, the president demanded that the 7G and NATO demonstrate an aggressive approach against Beijing and Moscow, ahead of his first meeting in office with the Russian president Vladimir Putin, to be held next week in Geneva.
"I expect a renewed strengthening of the commitment to broad cooperation and working together with our allies and partners, with the aim of building a fairer and more comprehensive global economy," he wrote on Twitter during the summit.
