2021-06-12T18:23:20.830Z

INTERVIEW - Patrice Diot is president of the Conference of Deans of Medicine and Dean of the Faculty of Tours.

LE FIGARO.

- Has the reform of health studies been sufficiently anticipated

by the government and universities?

Patrice DIOT.

-

Responsibility is collective.

This reform was not presented properly in the universities.

It was first presented as a reform of the first cycle of medicine and its first year, when in reality it is a reform of entry to university.

This is where the problem lies.

In addition to health training, it indeed involves other disciplines, through the play of minor (for Passes) and major (for Las) disciplines.

These other components followed, but without really investing.

The reform was accompanied by financial support from the State.

What did he allow you to do?

The universities received an additional 3,200 euros per student for the new open places, in addition to the numerus clausus.

At the national level, this corresponds to 14% more places compared to the previous year.
