Sit-ins and road blocks were renewed in Beirut and some Lebanese regions today, in protest against the deteriorating economic and living conditions.
The Lebanese National News Agency stated that protesters had closed the Mazraa Corniche in Beirut in both directions to pedestrians and cars, the intersection of the Mazraa Corniche Salim Salam under the Kola Bridge, and the Masnaa Road “Rashaya” at the junction of Azza town with containers and stones.
The Traffic Control Room reported that the protesters blocked the roads leading to and from Al-Nour Square in the city of Tripoli and the Taalbaya highway in the Bekaa in both directions.
Since October 17, 2019, many Lebanese regions have witnessed demonstrations and sit-ins protesting the deteriorating living and economic conditions and demanding the fight against corruption in the country.
