A British company has introduced a revolutionary artificial intelligence technology that predicts a person's risk of a fatal heart attack and when they might have it.
According to the British newspaper (The Telegraph), this technology is called "Kerry Heart" where the artificial intelligence takes a standard CT scan of the coronary artery and extracts more information than even well-trained doctors can see.
The researchers explained that the importance of this technique, which was selected from the British Heart Foundation and included four thousand patients, lies in that it allows doctors for the first time to diagnose heart health problems before a blockage in the arteries and opens an early window to identify people at high risk and intervene later to reduce the possibility of a fatal heart attack.
"All inflammation of the heart has been around for a long time, but we didn't have access to it before Kerry Hart," said Dr. Ronak Rajani, a consultant cardiologist at the Harley Street Clinic and Professor of Cardiovascular Imaging at King's University.
