The bathing season can also start slowly in the Schongauer Plantsch.

But first the sauna area should open.

And already on Monday.

Schongau - After all the outdoor pools in Schongauer Land have already started the bathing season, there is now good news from the splash.

The outdoor pools in Schongau are expected to go back into operation again from June 24th.

First of all, sauna fans can look forward to it.

The Saunaland should open next Monday, June 14th, announced Plantsch boss Andreas Kosian.

Gastronomy also starts then.

However, both outdoor pool and sauna visitors have to be prepared for a few restrictions because of the pandemic and construction work: Until work on the new giant slide has been completed, the changing rooms and toilets in the outdoor pool will not be available.

According to Kosian, the use of steam baths, infrared saunas, the jumping facility, the flow channel and waving during the infusion is still prohibited due to the corona.

The massage jets and parts of the wellness facilities in the outdoor warm pool, the beach volleyball court, the speed soccer court, the table tennis tables, the slackline and the shuffleboard are available - in compliance with the distance rules and with a limited number of users, explains Kosian.

Initially limited opening times

As long as there is no bathing operation, the opening times of the sauna are limited.

From 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

As soon as the outdoor pool opens, i.e. from June 24th, the opening times will be gradually extended: the sauna, restaurants and outdoor pool open daily at 10 a.m.

The outdoor pool closes at 8 p.m. and the sauna at 9 p.m.

From the beginning of the summer holidays, you should return to the usual opening times.

However, only if enough staff can be found by then.

Due to the month-long lockdown, there are still shortages here.

Splash: bathing world remains closed for the time being

According to Kosian, the bathing world, i.e. the indoor pool, cannot be used until the end of July.

There are technical reasons for this, namely the modifications to the bathing water piping in the indoor pools in connection with the renewal of the slide.

The “Fantasy Loop”, the new giant water slide in the Splash, should go into operation by the end of August at the latest.

"The guests can expect a 'tidal wave' of new attractions and effects in the slide house," said Kosian.

The splash has developed a completely new slide concept and is hoping for a pulling effect from near and far.

In addition, the panorama sauna was technically upgraded during the closure and, according to Kosian, can be used for show infusions with high-quality acoustics and complex lighting technology.

"As soon as the conditions allow such events again, there will be infusions of the highest entertainment value here in Schongau."
