At the age of 23,
Juan Foyth
appears as one of the young promises of Argentine football in defense, with calls for the
Argentine National Team
and a good presence in Europe, recently consecrated in Villarreal as champion of the Europa League.
However, the double knockout date left a negative balance for the former Estudiantes de la Plata.
Against Chile he started and La Roja's tie came due to an unnecessary foul, with the rival on his back, which he committed.
A few days later, he was a substitute in the 2-2 match against Colombia, and on his entry he lost the ball and then failed to anticipate Borja's header that sealed the result.
Although it was fixed for Lionel Scaloni, the confirmation of Argentina's list with 28 summoned no longer has Foyth among the players who will play the
Copa América
in Brazil.
This Friday the young coach's cut was made official and other names such as
Gonzalo Montiel
and
Nahuel Molina
appear in the former Tottenham's position
.
Juan Foyth was part of the team that drew against Chile in Santiago del Estero.
Foyth is one of the five players who were left out of the cut made by Scaloni, along with Lucas Ocampos, Emiliano Buendía, José Luis Palomino and Julián Álvarez, with the exception that the last of them was excluded to score it again due to Lucas's injury Alario.
As soon as the list was released, the former Tottenham expressed himself in his networks to express his support for the Argentine squad and made his position clear, banking his teammates at the start of a new competition.
"It is always a pride to put on the national team jersey and represent Argentina. In a few days the Copa América begins and
this year I have to accompany and support from the outside
as just another Argentine, wishing the best for the whole group," Juan wrote in

Juan Foyth's message was barely known that he was out of the list of the Argentine National Team for the Copa América.
In the photo he is seen in the starting formation that took to the field in Santiago del Estero to play against Chile, the night Diego Maradona was honored wearing shirts with the number 10.
The good news for Foyth came from Europe: Villarreal made use of the option and bought his pass from Tottenham for 15 million euros.
Therefore, Juan will now enjoy his vacations and in a few moments he will return to work in Spain.
