Around 20,000 households in Wolfratshausen had no electricity early Thursday morning.
A massive lightning strike was to blame.
Wolfratshausen - On Thursday morning from 4.14 to 4.23 a.m. parts of Wolfratshausen and Geretsried - around 20,000 households - were again without juice.
"A massive lightning strike" in the area of the Föhrenwald substation was to blame for the power failure, says Michael Bartels on request.
The spokesman for Bayernwerk AG continued to check whether the lightning hit a mast or a line.
The protective mechanism took effect, and the company then tapped electricity from a neighboring line.
Meanwhile, the cable faults that provoked a power failure around three weeks ago are also being investigated.
The cables are currently being analyzed in the test center.
As soon as a result is available, “we will inform the public”.
