Woman drifts in the Rhine and calls for help on her cell phone

A woman fell into the Rhine near Leimersheim in Rhineland-Palatinate and was aborted - but was able to call for help with her mobile phone.

According to the police, the 57-year-old was walking her two dogs on Friday.

When one of the animals ran to the water, she chased it, fell and fell into the river.

According to the information, she was able to hold on to a tree trunk floating in the water.

At the level of the Neupotz polder, she was driven over the flooded towpath into the flooded polder.

The woman dialed 911.

The fire brigade rescued the 57-year-old who was not injured.
