Today, Iraqi forces arrested two terrorists during operations they carried out in Karbala province.
And the Security Media Cell announced in a statement transmitted by Alsumaria News that "according to accurate intelligence information, the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency's detachments in the Ministry of Interior were able to carry out a security operation in Karbala governorate, which resulted in the arrest of two terrorists."
In addition, Anbar Operations Commander Major General Nasser Al-Ghannam announced today the thwarting of a terrorist plot to target Iraqis in the city of Fallujah.
Al-Ghannam said in a statement that "with follow-up and accurate intelligence information, an explosive belt of (ISIS) terrorist gangs was found in one of the sites in Fallujah district, where the engineering units dealt with it."
The Iraqi forces are continuing their security operations to pursue the remnants of ISIS terrorists in a number of regions of the country.
