The Art and Nature Foundation in Nantesbuch is currently taking a short summer break.

New programs will continue in autumn - some of them will be about the starry sky.

Bad Heilbrunn - As elsewhere, the Art and Nature Foundation in Nantesbuch had offered a digital program in recent months.

The events and discussion rounds ran satisfactorily, and good experiences had been made, reports press spokeswoman Anke Michaelis at the request of the Tölzer Kurier.

In the future, they also want to offer some “hybrid” projects, that is, to carry them out on site and also to make them accessible in digital form.

But in essence it is about having "sensual and tangible experiences" on the foundation's premises.

"Everyone longs for contacts."

Big projects from the beginning of September

The foundation's team is currently preparing for four large projects that will start in early September, on-site. One focus, also in the coming years, will be the “starry sky of mankind”. It is about the global network of stars, which is also a global map of the cultural history of mankind, said Michaelis. The foundation works with the well-known writer Raoul Schrott, who created an "Atlas of the Starry Skies" over a period of several years, which for the first time in the world reveals the constellations and the related stories and myths of the cultures of human history, explains the press officer. "The Art and Nature Foundation accompanies the creation of this work as a profile-giving theme, which represents the substantive orientation of the foundation in a special way. ”For this purpose, a multi-year accompanying program with local and decentralized events, exhibitions and cooperations is being developed. "As a central and connecting element, we are developing a website as a platform for the global digital representation of the starry sky."

The project starts with a three-day event from September 2nd to 5th in Nantesbuch.

The actors Corinna Harfouch and Ulrich Noethen are expected as guests in Bad Heilbrunn.

Details on the planned events will be available in the next four weeks, after which they can also be booked.

The complete publication of the atlas should take place in 2023/24.

Literature festival with well-known artists

A literature festival will also take place again, but the foundation is saying goodbye to the name “Moosbrand” and is now calling it “Nantesbuch Literature Festival”. From September 24th to 26th, Thea Dorn, Stefanie Sargnagel and Jonas Eika will be among the speakers, and actors Wotan Wilke Möhring and Anna Thalbach will be present as speakers. What is new is that it will take place on the Nantesbuch agricultural estate, not in the Long House. The various rooms on the estate will be integrated in such a way that a very special atmosphere is created, says Michaelis. There should be "immediate access to rural life". The “auditory offer”, i.e. the headphones campaign from last year (“Landschaftsradio”), will also be available again. Further details and tickets will be published in the coming weeks, says Michaelis.

The “Anthropocene” theme days that were canceled last year will be rescheduled for the end of October.

Cabaret artist Gerhard Polt comes as a guest.

Bird song project continues

The bird song project “Dawn Chorus” is currently being continued.

Here the foundation works together with the Bavarian natural history museum Biotopia.

Bird calls from all over the world are collected with a dedicated app.

They are included in a scientific collection for biodiversity research (we reported nationwide).

The special thing is that you can virtually transform the birdsong on your smartphone into a work of art.

Two media artists make this possible.

The project is attracting international attention, especially through social media, reports Michaelis.

The Facebook page now has 128,000 followers.

“That means that the number doubled this year in May compared to the previous year,” she says happily.

"It is a great community that exchanges information about birds, bird sounds and biodiversity, which we are very happy about."

Further information on the program and the bird's voice app is available on the website of the Art and Nature Foundation: www.kunst-und-natur.de
