The government announced that as of 8 pm today, a total of 54,006 people have been vaccinated in the past 24 hours, of which 19,000 have received Kexing vaccine and 35,000 have received BioNTech vaccine.
Among 54,000 people, 36,026 received the first injection. Both of these figures broke records, setting a new high for the total number of inoculations in a single day and the highest number of first injections in a single day since the start of 107 days.
A total of more than 1.7 million people in Hong Kong received the first injection, accounting for 26% of the population over the age of 16, and more than 1.18 million received the second injection, accounting for 18% of the population over the age of 16.
However, there were only 24,800 people who made appointments for injections today, compared with 38,700 people yesterday, which means that the number of appointments for today has dropped by nearly 36%.
In addition, as of 0:00 today, a total of 13 cases have been sent to hospital by community vaccination centers or designated general outpatient clinics under the Hospital Authority in the past 24 hours. They were sent to hospital due to common side effects after vaccination. The situation is stable. , 6 of them have been discharged from the hospital, 2 of them stayed in the hospital for observation, 3 of them did not follow the doctor’s advice, and 2 of them left the hospital without consultation.
