An Israeli border guard shot and killed a woman armed with a knife on Saturday as she walked towards Israeli forces stationed at a crossing point in the West Bank, Palestinian territory occupied by Israel, police said.

The border guard at the Qalandiya crossing point, between Jerusalem and the West Bank, had unsuccessfully summoned the woman to stop, before opening fire, the Israeli police added, without giving further details.
