A roundabout for the so-called death crossing at Johannrettenbach has been required for years.

But as has now become known, this can only be realized in 2023 at the earliest.

Johannrettenbach - Three cars were involved in the most recent accident at the intersection of district roads ED 13 and ED 26.

Two toddlers were in a vehicle.

It could have turned out badly.

Because several people have died in accidents here.

A gyro has been required for years.

But this can only be tackled in 2023 at the earliest.

The district has already acquired land for the roundabout

The land acquisition by the district was already completed in January, explains Claudia Fiebrandt-Kirmeyer, press spokeswoman for the district office. When asked how much land needed to be purchased, she replied that 2508 square meters would be needed permanently and 4743 square meters would be needed temporarily. As far as the size of the roundabout is concerned, a roadway with an outside diameter of 35 meters is planned.

She did not give any information about the costs. It has not yet been able to provide any specific information about the time of implementation. However, the district's transport committee recently said that the project would have to be postponed until at least 2023. The reason: The route will be needed as a diversion for the B 15 in Dorfen, which will be closed in 2022. The road closure is necessary in order to implement the planned construction project Isenbrücke in Dorfen. One can only hope that road users will stick to the signs until then.
