Summer has finally arrived in Bavaria.
This is also proven by an Instagram post from Markus Söder.
It's about his lunch.
Munich
- Corona vaccination, lockdown rules or upcoming elections: Markus Söder's Instagram posts are mostly political - and usually reveal little private information.
An exception was recently Söder's vacation selfies.
Now the Prime Minister publishes a private snapshot again.
This time it's about his lunch.
Corona in Bavaria: Söder posts a photo of his lunch on Instagram - and receives a lot of praise
But if you are expecting a traditional dish like pork knuckle or roast pork, you will be bitterly disappointed.
Rather, a light summer dish lands on Söder's plate: a colorful salad.
“Good mix of power and vitamins.
Tastes like summer ”, with these words Söder comments on his salad photo.
It shows green salad with pepperoni, falafel balls and baguette slices.
Very healthy - and very vegetarian.

Söder on Instagram: Vegetarian salad photo is well received - "Looks absolutely delicious"
Some followers especially like the fact that the Prime Minister has opted for a vegetarian dish.
“It's wonderful, Mr. Söder, that you are setting a good example and treating yourself to a meatless lunch.
Bon appétit! "And" Looks absolutely delicious, and without animal suffering!
Great!
Bon appetit ”, it says further below the photo.
One or the other suspects a targeted political maneuver behind the post.
"Attention advertising.
Address vegan and vegetarian voters.
It's just a show, ”speculates one user.
“What do you not do shortly before the election,” says another.
Whether - and what exactly - Söder ultimately wants to achieve with this photo will probably remain his secret.
We agree with most of the comments - and wish you a good appetite!
Ilse Aigner urges Söder and the CSU to reconsider. The Union had embarked on a course that pissed off voters. Aigner appeals: "We mustn't get too green." You can read more news from Bavaria here.
