Homs Governorate, in cooperation with the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East, and the Department of Ecumenical Relations and Development, started the work of a project to restore and rehabilitate 100 homes for the people of Palmyra damaged by terrorism.
The general supervisor of the restoration works, Engineer Hanna Ibrahim, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the project includes sanitary, electrical, aluminum, carpentry, wood, and two marble fields, in addition to installing water tanks with a capacity of one tank of 1,000 liters.
For his part, the head of Palmyra City Council, Hani Daas, said in a similar statement that the homes of citizens are being rehabilitated free of charge in order to help the people returning to the city from which terrorism abandoned them, pointing out that there are about 300 residential homes also that will be renovated and rehabilitated in the future after the completion of this project Which was met with great satisfaction by the people.
It is noteworthy that during the previous period, 145 houses for the people of Palmyra were restored and rehabilitated by the Homs Governorate in cooperation with the Adventist Organization for Development and Relief “Adar”.
