He sees his team well positioned, however, because in addition to the veterans like Markus Sedletzky, Stefan Thiel, Tobias Eichmann and Andreas Aigner, Christian Blank and Stefan Linseisen have two reinforcements from TC Rot-Weiß Bad Tölz. "We are definitely better prepared than last year," stresses Wenus. In 2020, due to the corona, training was only allowed to start at the end of May and no double pairing was allowed. This time one could reasonably prepare for the Meden round, which begins on Sunday, June 13th, with the home game against TSV Feldafing (2 p.m., Isardamm). Wenus: “It is of fundamental importance that we start with a win. Then we can approach further encounters in a relaxed manner. "
He would like to see a similar good start for the women he has trained.
The Geretsriederinnen have just been promoted to the district class and are now taking to the field as a team of six for the first time.
“We are aiming for the ascent this year too,” said Wenus.
In the long term, the regional league is the goal for the TCG women.
