At about 11 pm yesterday (12th), the Kwun Tong Police District Miscellaneous Investigation Team and the Anti-Triad Action Team launched an anti-crime and anti-triad operation code-named "Yong Jue" to raided parties in Kwun Tong District The room and the bar upstairs successfully smashed a suspected unlicensed bar at 436-484 Kwun Tong Road with an area of about 400 feet.
During the operation, nearly 40 bottles of spirits and several cans of beer were seized, with a total value of approximately HK$10,000.
During the operation, the police arrested a 33-year-old person in charge of the bar surnamed Peng Nan, suspected of "unlicensed selling of alcoholic beverages", "unlicensed possession of alcoholic beverages for sale" and violating the "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Regulations and Instructions) (" Business and Premises Regulations (Chapter 599F).
In addition, 10 men and 8 women in the unit, aged between 18 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of "drinking in premises without a liquor license."
The 18 men and women also violated the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition of Group Gathering) Ordinance (Chapter 599G), and the police officers issued fixed penalty notices to them.
All arrested men and women are being detained for investigation.
