A week before the early parliamentary elections in Armenia, Azerbaijan handed over 15 prisoners of war to the neighboring country.
They were released at the border, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday in the capital Baku.
In return, Armenia presented representatives of Azerbaijan with a map showing where Armenian soldiers laid mines in a previously occupied town.
There was war between the two countries about half a year ago.
From September 27 to November 9 of last year, Armenia and Azerbaijan fought over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict region.
Azerbaijan recaptured large parts of the area that it had lost in the early 1990s.
More than 6,000 people died in the fighting.

The war sparked a political crisis in Armenia.
The head of government Nikol Pashinyan, who has come under pressure, wants to be confirmed in office on Sunday next week.
Armenia repeatedly accused neighboring Azerbaijan of not having released all prisoners of war despite several exchanges.
Azerbaijan, on the other hand, said it had fulfilled its commitments.
However, this agreement did not include those soldiers who Armenia had "sent to areas of Azerbaijan" after the fighting ended, according to Baku.
