Total quarantine in Chile: the decree of the authorities is for the metropolitan area
Once again, the Chilean government was forced to tighten sanitary restrictions throughout the Santiago metropolitan region, due to another spike in coronavirus.
The mandatory quarantine began this Saturday.
It requires people to stay in their homes and go out only for essential purchases or for specific procedures.
It also contemplates a curfew from 10 pm to 5 am, with exceptions for medical emergencies or the death of an immediate family member.
