Eight Afghan policemen were killed in an armed attack in Helmand province, southern Afghanistan today.
The Chinese news agency, Xinhua, quoted provincial council chief Atallah Afghan as saying that a Taliban gunman disguised himself as a policeman infiltrated a security checkpoint in Kalay Bast district and opened fire on policemen, killing eight of them, while the gunman fled.
And seven people were killed yesterday and six others were wounded in two bombings targeting two buses in the Afghan capital, Kabul.
