A white private car was driving along Tai Chung Kiu Road towards the New Town Plaza and it was suspected when it reached the junction of Sha Tin Wai Road.

A fatal car accident occurred on Tai Chung Kiu Road in Sha Tin, resulting in 1 death and 8 injuries.

The incident occurred at 2:54 pm today (13th). A white private car was driving along Tai Chung Bridge Road towards the New Town Plaza. When it reached the junction of Sha Tin Wai Road, it was suspected of rushing to the light and rammed into a car along Tai Chung. The right side of the green minibus heading towards Ma On Shan on the bridge road.

The green minibus was hit and turned to the left.

A large number of rescuers rushed to the scene. The 59-year-old male minibus driver was confirmed dead on the spot, and the police covered the body with a green tent.

The accident also resulted in 7 injuries. 3 men and 3 women minibus passengers were rushed to Nethersole Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital.

The female driver of the private car involved was also injured and was taken to the Prince of Wales Hospital by ambulance.

Affected by the accident, the traffic at the scene was very congested. Traffic police officers directed the traffic and investigated the cause of the accident, and used a 360-degree panoramic camera to record the scene.

After the Green Van turned over, the carriage was in a mess, passengers' debris and glass fragments were scattered all over the floor, and blood stains were left on the carriage and on the ground.

The front of the private car in the accident was severely damaged, and the front safety airbag popped out.

Mr. Lin, the truck driver who witnessed the entire crash, said that at the time of the incident, a black private car drove straight ahead and drove from the Prince of Wales Hospital towards the New Town Plaza. The following white private car also followed the car in front. Unexpectedly, the light hit the green minibus, and the green Van was knocked over.

Another witness, Mr. Deng, pointed out that after the Green Van turned over, a suspected male minibus driver was caught in the head and severely injured, and about 7 passengers in the car were injured.

Mr. Deng continued that the female driver of the white private car was very excited after the accident.

After the accident, the stationmaster of the line 803 minibus rushed to the scene to find out. He said that the green Van involved was a line 803 minibus heading to Li'an. The deceased man was surnamed Zhang, and he was about 50 years old.

The deceased was a full-time driver. He had worked in the company for about 10 years. He drove the 803 line for about two years. He rarely received complaints.

At the time of the incident, the driver had just driven the first transfer today.
