London, SANA- The G7 affirmed its support for the resumption of the nuclear agreement signed between Iran and the Five Plus Group

London-Sana

The Group of Seven confirmed its support for the resumption of the nuclear agreement signed between Iran and the P5+1 group in 2015, expressing its welcome to the "substantial consultations" currently taking place in the Austrian capital, Vienna, between the 4+1 group and Iran.

And the media quoted the group as saying in the final statement issued by its summit in Cornwall, Britain, today: “We support the resumption of the benefits contained in the nuclear agreement related to preventing nuclear proliferation and verifying the peacefulness of Iran’s nuclear program.”

The work of the sixth round of negotiations to revive the nuclear agreement between Iran and the "Four Plus One" group started yesterday within the framework of the meetings of the joint committee of the nuclear agreement aimed at bringing the United States back to it and ensuring its full and effective implementation.

Negotiations began on the 2nd of last April between the delegations of Iran and the "Four Plus One" group, which includes France, Britain, Germany, Russia and China, and in the presence of an American delegation without directly participating in the negotiations aimed at returning Washington to the agreement and lifting its sanctions on Iran as a prelude to the latter's return to its obligations under it. .
