INTERVIEW - In an interview with Le Figaro, the Greek Prime Minister explains how he wishes to lay the foundations for a new dialogue.


The NATO summit which opens Monday in Brussels will be marked by the meeting between Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Greek prime minister and Turkish president to meet face-to-face on the sidelines of the summit to try to ease tensions that peaked last summer when Ankara threatened to drill into space Greek maritime.

- Prime Minister, what are the themes that you are going to discuss with Turkish President Erdogan?

Kyriakos MITSOTAKIS.

Our major dispute has been, for decades, that of the delimitation of our maritime zones, and we must, moreover, find a way to manage it without resorting to the escalation of tensions as last summer.

I think the best way is to agree around a common framework, respecting good neighborly relations and international law.

Our geographic location means that we live side by side with Turkey.

We therefore have common economic interests
