Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the issue of cybersecurity is very important.
"Cyber security is one of the most urgent issues today, because any disruption of entire systems has very serious consequences, and this is possible," TASS news agency quoted Putin as telling Russia One TV channel.
With regard to cybercriminals, Putin stressed that “Russia is ready to extradite cybercriminals to the United States on the basis of reciprocity,” adding that such understandings are formalized in interstate relations where both sides undertake equal obligations.
Regarding the economic issue, Putin stated that Russia and the United States can cooperate effectively, pointing out that American companies want to work in Russia, but they are withdrawn and give up their place to other competitors, considering that this does not benefit the American economy.
A summit between Presidents Putin and US President Joe Biden is scheduled to be held in Geneva, Switzerland, on June 16.
