The Minister of Agriculture stressed that the agricultural conditions that Al-Hasakah is going through are “exceptional as a result of the drought that has greatly affected the production of various crops, including wheat and barley, leaving rainfed areas out of production and low productivity of irrigated areas,” pointing to the keenness to encourage farmers to market their crops, which provides the governorate’s need for Wheat material to secure bread and barley to secure the needs of livestock and agricultural seeds.

He also pointed out that with the aim of encouraging farmers to market, the specifications for purchasing wheat were modified and the crime raised from 16 to 23 percent, to be sifted after receiving it, indicating that with regard to the provision of rationed fodder, work is being done to distribute it according to what the governorate provides of raw material, and the Directorate of Agriculture will be provided with quantities Additional veterinary vaccines in addition to securing its need for wheat and barley seeds allocated for the next season's planting plan.

Minister Qatana called on the Directorate of Agriculture to create agricultural units in the villages in which there are an agricultural engineer, a veterinarian and an agricultural technician, with the aim of providing various services to farmers in their places of residence.

After that, a service meeting was held in the General Authority of Qamishli Hospital, during which the interventions focused on the necessity of finding a water alternative for the people of Al-Hasakah city after the repeated stoppage of the Allouk station as a result of the practices of the Turkish occupation, securing seeds for the cotton crop, rehabilitating the cultural center in Qamishli, addressing structural violations, and opening agricultural insurance companies.
