At close to 11 o'clock this (13th) morning, a burglary was discovered in a tenement unit at 43A Fa Yuen Street, Mong Kok. The police received a report from a 69-year-old man surnamed Deng, saying that when he returned from the outside, he found that the door and iron gate of the unit were pried open. There are traces of ransack in the unit, and burglary is suspected.
The staff arrived at the scene, and after preliminary calculations, the cash and jewelry worth about 145,000 yuan at the address were missing.
After preliminary investigation, the case was classified as a burglary and was handed over to the Mong Kok District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up. No one has been arrested yet.
