The Russian Ambassador to Venezuela, Sergey Melek Bagdasarov, announced that Venezuela had received a new batch of the Russian Sputnik vaccine against the Corona virus.
Sputnik quoted Melek as saying in a tweet that the Venezuelan authorities had received 500,000 doses of the vaccine through Maiquetia International Airport, which strengthens our solidarity with the Venezuelan people.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced at the end of last month that vaccination against the Corona virus would be intensified this month, and that the vaccines would be provided to people over 60 years old and suffering from diseases.
