The flagship index of the Paris Bourse has made a meteoric rise: since its low in March 2020, when it fell to nearly 3,700 points, it has indeed rebounded by nearly 80%.
It owes this performance to a handful of values and in particular to the spectacular rise of the French luxury giants.
On the stock market, these champions come out of the health crisis considerably strengthened.
They are all evolving at historic highs.
The world number one in the sector, LVMH, shows an increase of more than 50% compared to its peak in January 2020. Hermès, which entered the CAC 40 only three years ago, has gained more than 60% since its launch. higher at the start of 2020, while L'Oréal and Kering won 40% and 22% respectively.
