The second “summer wonder” in Freising will take place from July 8th to 25th.
Now the program for the cultural restart is set.
Freising
- In 2020 the “summer wonder” was a ray of light, a straw in the cultural life of the city of Freising.
Also this year Corona is forcing the cultural workers and those responsible for culture in the cathedral city to a new edition of the summer wonder.
Between July 8th and 25th, “the comeback of joie de vivre” will be celebrated in the local court garden and in the beer garden of the Lindenkeller, as culture advisor Susanne Günther said at the official program presentation.
Artists "belong on the stage and in front of the audience"
Cultural office, city youth care, music school and Uferlos GmbH: The quartet, which has already proven itself in 2020, has come together again to help culture regain its rights in the face of falling infection rates.
Admittedly, according to Mayor Tobias Eschenbacher, it is still difficult to plan, many things are still subject to change.
But the hope that the summer will be “carefree” because “artists belong on the stage and in front of the audience”, says Günther, is great among all those responsible.
First there is the city's cultural office with director Markus Bader, which organizes something for children on two Sundays (11th and 18th July):
Luz amoi
starts
his setting of “Hans im Glück”
at 2.30pm and 4.30pm
On the following Sunday, the
Fritz and Friends Theater
kidnaps
the youngsters into the fairytale world of “Tischlein, deck dich” and “Der Froschkönig”.
Even if it is “a sad year” for Vipo Maat and Thomas Sedlmeier because of the recent cancellation of the Uferlos Festival, participating in the “summer wonder” is a certain consolation - especially because the district court garden as an event location is a “wonderful space with a dreamlike one Atmosphere "is. Because because of the location in the old town you can play everything except "a little harder rock", says Maat, at the
Sunday matinees
(at 11 o'clock in the district court garden) jazz is given a platform: On July 11th,

Zapf is enthusiastic about the cooperation between the organizers: "It's fun that you can do so much together."
The city youth welfare organization is also involved: According to social worker Fritz Andresen, it was not only possible to have
Boppin'B

Impala Ray
on July 24th (7.30pm) in the beer garden of the Lindenkeller should be a little louder.
With the
